Mansiyún

The project “Mansiyún” seeks to provide a mouthpiece for the world’s oldest refugee camps, located in the Algerian hamada, in which the Saharawis survive as best they can in conditions that have improved little over their forty-two years of existence.
Focusing specifically on the Saharawis’ Bojador camp in Tindouf, the author gathers the testimonies of those refugees that forty years ago had to suffer what they refer to as the “Black March”; being forced to leave their lives behind. And despite the amount of time that has passed, they still face an uncertain future.
